OFFICIAL EA FC 32-TEAM IN-PERSON TOURNAMENT RULEBOOKTOURNAMENT STRUCTURE AND FORMAT 1.1. Stage 1 Group Stage: 32 players are divided into 8 groups of 4 teams each (Groups A to H). 1.2. Group Match Format: This is a single round-robin where every player plays 3 matches within their group. 1.3. Group Stage Advancement: The top 2 players from each group advance to the Knockout Stage.1.4. Stage 2 Knockout Stage: A 16-player single-elimination bracket consisting of the Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Grand Final. 1.5. Elimination Rule: Losing a knockout match results in immediate elimination from the tournament. 1.6. Group Stage Tiebreaker 1: Highest Goal Difference. 1.7. Group Stage Tiebreaker 2: Highest Goals Scored. 1.8. Group Stage Tiebreaker 3: Head-to-Head record between tied players. 1.9. Group Stage Tiebreaker 4: One-half (45-minute) Golden Goal match.MATCH SETTINGS AND SQUADS 2.1. Game Mode: Kick-Off Mode using standard Club or National teams. 2.2. Rosters: Live Squads or Online Squads must be updated and used. Custom, edited, or created players and squads are strictly banned. 2.3. Same Team Rule: Both players are permitted to select the same team if they choose. 2.4. Half Length: 6 minutes per half, making it 12 minutes total per match. 2.5. Game Speed: Normal. 2.6. Difficulty Level: Legendary. 2.7. Competitive Master Switch: This setting must be turned ON. 2.8. Camera Settings: Tele Broadcast is the default setting. If both players mutually agree on a different camera angle before kickoff, they may change it. If they disagree, Tele Broadcast must be used. 2.9. Knockout Match Ties: If a knockout match is tied after 90 minutes, players must play Classic Extra Time (two 1.5-minute halves) followed by a Penalty Shootout if still tied. HARDWARE AND PERIPHERALS 3.1. Bring Your Own Controller (BYOC): Players are fully responsible for bringing their own console-compatible controller and a USB connection cable. 3.2. Wireless Controller Rule: Wireless controllers must be manually disconnected or desynced from the console immediately after a match finishes to prevent accidental interference with subsequent matches. 3.3. Hardware Malfunctions: If a controller disconnects, a cable breaks, or a console freezes during active play, the match must be paused immediately. The game will resume from the exact time and scoreline once the hardware issue is resolved.IN-GAME PAUSE RULES 4.1. Ball Out of Play: Players may only pause the game when the ball is completely out of play, such as during throw-ins, goal kicks, corner kicks, fouls, or half-time. 4.2. Active Gameplay Pauses: Pausing during active gameplay to disrupt a breakthrough or counter-attack is strictly forbidden. 4.3. Penalties for Illegal Pausing: A player's first illegal pause results in a formal warning. A second offense results in an automatic 1-0 forfeit for that specific match. PUNCTUALITY AND ATTENDANCE5. 1. The 5-Minute Rule: Once a match and station are announced, players have exactly 5 minutes to report to their designated console. 5.2. Forfeit: If a player fails to show up within the 5-minute window, they automatically forfeit the match with a 3-0 scoreline recorded against them. 5.3. Setup Time: Players are allowed a maximum of 2 minutes before their first match of the day to configure their controller buttons, controller settings, and custom tactics. PLAYER CONDUCT AND INTEGRITY 6.1. Glitch Exploits: Utilizing known game-breaking bugs or glitches to gain an unfair advantage will result in an immediate match forfeit or tournament disqualification at the discretion of the organizer. 6.2. No Outside Coaching: No verbal or visual coaching is permitted during active gameplay. 6.3. Spectator Conduct: Spectators must stand behind the designated player area and remain quiet to avoid distracting the competitors. Trash-talking or distracting players at the stations is grounds for removal from the venue. 6.4. Reporting Results: Both players must report the final score together to the tournament organizer's desk immediately following the final whistle.
